Jennifer Lopez graciously shut down a question about Ben Affleck while promoting her new Netflix movie, Atlas.

The actor and singer attended a Q&A session with co-star Simu Liu in Mexico City on May 22. During the chat, someone in the crowd asked her whether there was any truth to the divorce rumours with Affleck.

"Your divorce with Ben Affleck is real? What is the truth?" the person asked, to which Liu promptly replied: "Okay, we're not doing that."

For her part, Lopez laughed at the question, then leaned in, smiled and calmly told the questioner: "You know better than that" (via Glamour México y Latinoamérica).

The question was left unanswered as Liu voiced his support for Lopez, telling the person: "Don't come in here with that energy, please."

Lopez and Affleck first dated and got engaged in 2002 before going their separate ways in 2004. The two rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in July 2022, three months after they announced their second engagement.

Lopez will next be seen in Netflix's sci-fi movie Atlas, following misanthropic military intelligence officer Atlas Shepherd (Lopez), who is sent on a space mission to capture a renegade robot she shares a connection with.

Alongside Lopez and Liu, the movie also stars Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Abraham Popoola (The Great) and Lana Parrilla (Once Upon a Time).

The movie is directed by Brad Peyton from a script penned by Star Trek: Discovery writer Aron Eli Coleite and Armenian screenwriter Leo Sardarian.

Speaking about working with Lopez, Peyton shared his excitement about directing the star.

"Having the chance to direct Jennifer in the title role of this movie is a dream come true, as I know she'll bring the incredible strength, depth and authenticity we've all come to admire from her work," said Peyton.

Atlas is released on Netflix on May 24.
