Jennifer Lopez Shines in a Gown Dripping With Crystals at the 2024 Met Gala

Jenny From the Block has made it to the Met Gala red carpet.
The singer and actor stuck to her signature luxe bombshell style for fashion’s biggest night. She walked the carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight in a ravishing transparent gown dripping with white crystals and beads. The custom Schiaparelli piece had a dramatic sculptural neckline that jutted out to the sides like branches, and a long train.
J.Lo paired it with silky champagne peep-toe heels, a massive diamond necklace in the shape of a bird, diamond bracelets and drop earrings, a silky envelope clutch, and a messy top knot.
The theme of the night is “The Garden of Time,” based on the art museum’s new exhibition “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and for the springtime occasion, Lopez wore blush makeup.
Husband Ben Affleck was not with Lopez on the red carpet, but his absence does not come as a surprise, as he did not accompany his wife to the event last year (admittedly, he is not one for the spotlight). To the gala honoring the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, Lopez wore a jaw-dropping custom silk velvet halter-neck gown in powder pink and black, by Ralph Lauren. The extraordinary piece featured a rosette-embellished collar and a sweeping train. The superstar wore it with black silk evening gloves and a matching petite beret with sculptural tulle.
The “This Is Me... Now” singer wore Ralph Lauren to the 2021 Met Gala. It was a rustic cowboy ensemble that included a plunging beaded dress with a super high leg slit, a feather jacket, and, and coordinating cowgirl hat. Lopez paired the look with metallic silver strappy stilettos from her own DSW line.
