Move over, everyone: Jennifer Lawrence is this year’s underdog of street style. Since partnering with stylist Jamie Mizrahi, the Oscar-winning actor has pumped out a number of enviable ensembles, ranging from casual prep to babushka chic. Each paparazzi shot brings a look more covetable than the next.

On Thursday, the No Hard Feelings star stepped out in New York City in the perfect off-duty look for second spring (i.e., the season that persuades you to leave the house in a T-shirt, though the weather actually still requires a light jacket or cardigan).

In line with her laid-back style, Lawrence dressed up a simple white-tee-and-jeans combo with a butter-yellow cashmere shirt-jacket from Jil Sander. Pastels are a seasonal staple, after all.

Like any other rich mom would, Lawrence accessorized with a black leather Celine belt and airy mesh flats from Alaïa—a personal favorite of the actor’s. She has worn the fishnet shoes several times this year and last, even wearing them with a similar white-tee-and-denim pairing. There’s a reason she’s queen of lazy-girl spring!

To further elevate her casual errand-running outfit, Lawrence shaded her eyes with a pair of rectangular tortoiseshell sunnies. She switched out her beloved Dior Saddle bag and Loewe Puzzle tote in favor of a black Bottega Veneta Tosca bag, casually swung over one arm.

As modeled by J-Law, transitional spring dressing doesn’t have to be hard—rather, you just have to find an outfit formula that works for you. For the actor, that means mixing high-end designer pieces with casual ones, like her go-to white tee and jeans look. Plus, once you’ve found something that works, it doesn’t hurt to repeat a good outfit.
