Jennifer Aniston says a ‘whole generation’ is now offended by Friends

Jennifer Aniston believes a “whole generation” now finds the hit sitcom Friends to be offensive to modern sensibilities.

The actor rose to fame as Rachel Green on the series that ran from 1994 to 2004 which follows the lives of six New Yorkers.

While the show was immensely popular during its two-decade run, Aniston now thinks culture has moved on to the point it no longer resonates with a younger audience.

Reflecting on the series, she said: “There were things that were never intentional and others ... well, we should have thought it through - but I don’t think there was a sensitivity like there is now.”
