Jennifer Aniston Honors Her Father’s Daytime Emmy Award Win with a Touching Tribute

During the 49th Daytime Emmy Awards, Jennifer Aniston’s father, John Aniston, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his work on Days of Our Lives. And of course, the Friends alum had to make the moment even more special with a heartwarming tribute to her father.

In case you didn’t know, John was honored for playing the character Victor Kiriakis for over a decade on the long-running soap opera. After he received the award from his fellow co-star, Suzanne Rogers, Jennifer appeared over video chat to say a few kind words about her father’s momentous milestone.

“This is truly a special moment for me,” she said. “It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad.”

The Morning Show actress went on to praise her father and all his achievements. “For over 30 years, his dedication to that show has gained him respect and admiration of his fellow actors, deep friendships and thrilled millions of fans around the world,” she added. “His career is literally the definition of lifetime achievement.”

Though John couldn’t be there to publicly accept the award, we’re sure he was very moved by his daughter’s touching speech.
