Jenna Dewan Celebrates ‘Rookie’ Renewal With Behind-the-Scenes Selfie With Nathan Fillion

Jenna Dewan and the rest of the Rookie cast have a big reason to celebrate, as the ABC show was just renewed for Season 7.

In response to the major news, Dewan shared a special gift with the fans, posting a behind-the-scenes snap from the set featuring herself and her co-stars Nathan Fillion and Melissa O’Neil.

Dewan smiled brightly in the photo, while Fillion stood in a suave pose and O'Neil got her makeup touched up. All three actors were dressed as their characters, looking a bit more roughed up than usual. Dewan also added a video of herself giddily walking into her trailer on set.

"SEASON 7! Another season with the most incredible people! So. So. Grateful. @therookieabc," Dewan captioned the post.

Many of Dewan's friends and former co-stars congratulated the actress, with Elizabeth Tulloch writing, "👏👏👏👏." Meanwhile, Emmanuelle Chriqui commented, "So happy honey!!!!!!" Both Tulloch and Chriqui star in the TV series Superman & Lois, in which Dewan appeared as Lucy Lane.

Fans were just as hyped, with happy reactions like, "I CANT WAIT AHHH," "I. am. so. happy," and, "So excited!! Congratulations so well deserved!!! 👏🎉."

Another shared their appreciation for Dewan's post, writing, "Yaaas thank you for always sharing bts content Jenna!! 🔥😍."

Dewan plays the character Bailey Nune, a firefighter in the Los Angeles Fire Department, in The Rookie. She first appeared in Season 3, meeting and soon starting a relationship with Fillion's character, John Nolan. The two finally got married in Season 6.

Bailey was a recurring character for the first two seasons she appeared in, but Dewan was upped to a series regular in the middle of Season 4. The 43-year-old actress is currently expecting a baby with her fiancé, Steve Kazee, but she has continued acting in The Rookie while pregnant.
