ESPN’s Maria Taylor made her Monday Night Football debut last night. Unfortunately, she had to deal with some sexist crap on social media during the game.

Taylor, mostly known for her college football and NBA coverage, was part of the Monday Night Football team for the New York Giants vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game. She was on the call with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.

During the game, a Chicago-based radio host made a sexist comment about Taylor’s outfit.

“NFL sideline reporter or a host for the AVN (Adult Video News) annual awards presentation?” Dan McNeil tweeted and later deleted.

Taylor did not hesitate to clap back on social media.

“Well Danny Dearest if you would like to continue making sexist comments about me…please bring your misogyny with you to the NBA Countdown doubleheader I’ll be hosting tomorrow night. Hey ladies remember you can wear whatever you feel confident in!” she wrote.

Former ESPN host Jemele Hill was among those who ripped McNeil for his comment.

“Just another example of what women have to go through in this business. Huge accomplishment for Maria to be part of the MNF team tonight and here comes an asshole trying to undermine a big moment in her career,” she wrote.

Fowler, Herbstreit and Taylor were great in their first NFL game. Many are calling for them to get more NFL gigs in the future (as long as it doesn’t take away from their college football duties).

The Steelers, meanwhile, beat the Giants, 26-16, to move to 1-0 on the season.
