MIAMI GARDENS — Jaylen Waddle had a tough day Sunday in the Dolphins' 22-20 win against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dolphins' second leading receiver left the game twice with injuries.

After his only reception of the game, a key 50-yard catch from the 4-yard line on the Dolphins' first series of the game, Waddle left the game in the second quarter and was taken to the locker room after being poked in the eye.

Despite the injuries, Waddle's lone reception put him over the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the third straight season. He becomes the first player in Dolphins history to post three consecutive 1,000-yard receivingseasons. He's also just the ninth player in NFL history to begin a career with three straight 1,000-yard receivingseasons.

The Dolphins were down a receiver when Robbie Chosen was lost in the first quarter after going into concussion protocol. However, Tyreek Hill returned after missing last week with an ankle injury.
