It only took forty years, but the world is getting its first Dragon Ball theme park soon. The theme park is currently under construction at Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, a peculiar location given that Dragon Ball started in Japan. The announcement comes just weeks after the passing of Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball and many other franchises.

A concept trailer showcasing the park’s attractions has also been released, showing plans for erecting large-scale models of popular DBZ locations such as Kame House, Capsule Corp, and Beerus' Planet. There's even a Shenron rollercoaster as high as over 70 meters.

Watch it below:

The official website for the park states that it will include over 30 themed rides, along with five "groundbreaking" attractions. The theme park will also include special hotels, with visitors being able to enjoy "exotic cuisines inside towering landmarks." The entire park campus will stretch over 50,000 square meters.

On a scale never imagined before, the park’s interactive and explorable themed experiences will allow you to live the adventures at the heart of the action, experiencing the journey from the first Dragon Ball series to the latest Dragon Ball Super.

In the wake of Toriyama's passing, many companies have offered tributes to the legendary creator in their own ways. PlayStation added Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot to its PS Plus subscription service, while Toonami aired a marathon of DBZ Kai episodes for an entire day.
