Your Jason Sudeikis, ‘Ted Lasso’ Emmy Awards checklist: Here are all 20 nominations

Kansas City’s own Jason Sudeikis and his hit comedy creation “Ted Lasso” are up for 20 Emmy Awards for the second year in a row. And once again they have no chance of winning them all.

That’s because the show was nominated multiple times in multiple categories. (Last year “Ted Lasso” won seven of its 20 nominations.)

Also, the winners for half of the show’s 2022 nominations were announced last weekend during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, and “Ted Lasso” came up empty.

Here are the six categories and 10 nominations that fans of Sudeikis and “Ted Lasso” should pay attention to when the Emmys air, starting at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 on NBC:

Best comedy series

Lead actor: Jason Sudeikis (who, as you should know, grew up in Overland Park and plays the title character)

Supporting actor: Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Toheeb Jimoh as Sam Obisanya, Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley

Supporting actress: Sarah Niles as Dr. Sharon Fieldstone, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton

Directing for a comedy series: “No Weddings and a Funeral”

Writing for a comedy series: “No Weddings and a Funeral”

Guest actor: James Lance as Trent Crimm, Sam Richardson as Edwin Akufo
