A University of Cincinnati alum could become a fixture on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" pregame show.

Jason Kelce, who recently retired as center for the Philadelphia Eagles, will reportedly begin a new career on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” according to The Athletic.

The Enquirer reached out to the University of Cincinnati and ESPN to confirm the news. No official comment has been released. Further investigation leads to the conclusion that the report is accurate.

Kelce currently co-hosts the "New Heights" podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce, which came to Cincinnati for a live show earlier this month. His life and career was also the subject of Amazon Prime Video's "Kelce" documentary last year.

Several primetime football shows were interested in adding the seven-time Pro Bowler to their roster, The Athletic reports, including NBC, CBS and Amazon.

ESPN recently added retired New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick to its Monday lineup, The Athletic previously reported. Belichick will appear on “The Pat McAfee Show" and serve as a semi-regular guest on "Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli."

Monday was a banner day for the Kelces, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Travis Kelce has agreed to a new two-year contract extension with the Chiefs, making him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.
