Janitorial workers losing jobs at three Ohio Amazon warehouses

A company says its contract with Amazon to provide janitorial services to Amazon distribution centers in ending and that 284 workers at three Amazon sites will lose their jobs as a result.

A company has told the state that its contract has ended with Amazon to provide janitorial services to warehouses in 11 states, including Ohio where 284 workers will lose their jobs as a result.

GDI Services of Greenville, South Carolina, told the state that workers at three Amazon warehouses in Ohio are affected: New Albany, West Jefferson in Madison County and Rossford near Toledo.

The loss of the contract will affect 42 workers at the Amazon warehouse in New Albany, 147 at the warehouse in West Jefferson and 95 at the site in Rossford.
