Jamie Lynn Spears Joins 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 32

Only a day before the release of the entire cast, Dancing with the Stars has announced one confirmed celeb lacing up their dancing shoes this fall: Jamie Lynn Spears. The announcement was made on Tuesday's edition of Good Morning America, along with the reveal that she would be paired with pro Alan Bersten.

Spears was thrust into the limelight at a young age, considering her older sister is pop icon Britney Spears. She became a cast member on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show All That at age 11, eventually moving on to lead her on show on the same network in Zoey 101. The series ran for four seasons and earned critical acclaim, and even a sequel movie Zoey 102 that aired last month on Paramount Plus.

Spears, like her sister, is no stranger to making news, though. The first came when she was still in her Nickelodeon era, when she announced her first pregnancy at only 16 years old. Though she disappeared from the entertainment industry for over a decade after that, all eyes were back on her in 2021, during Britney's battle for conservatorship. The two went back and forth on social media, with Britney publicly accusing her sister of actively and knowingly being involved in her conservatorship, while not making any efforts to help her terminate it.

Spears is the third celebrity cast member announced by ABC for this upcoming season, premiering September 26 on ABC and Disney+. Ariana Madox, who was also the center of many headlines with her involvement in "Scandoval" earlier this year, was the first added to the cast. She was soon followed by recent Bachelorette Charity Lawson. Additionally, Entertainment Tonight revealed that Oscar winner Mira Sorvino would also be a part of it. The full cast of Dancing with the Stars season 32 will be announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday, September 13.
