James Doran charged with murder of his mother in Blackwood section of Gloucester Township

Three people were found dead in their homes on Saturday, the apparent victims of separate incidents of domestic violence.

In Gloucester Township, a local man allegedly killed his mother, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

A woman also was shot dead in Lindenwold, while her boyfriend fatally shot himself in the head, the prosecutor’s office said.

In the Gloucester Township case, 30-year-old James Doran, 30, allegedly killed 65-year-old Lillian Doran on the 100 block of Fairmount Avenue, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

A 911 call alerted police to the presence of the woman's body around 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, the prosecutor’s office said.

The Blackwood resident had died from blunt force head trauma, it said.

James Doran was arrested in Bedford, Pennsylvania, about 210 miles from South Jersey. The arrest was made by members of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Doran is being held on a murder charge in Pennsylvania, pending extradition to South Jersey.

The charge is only an allegation. Doran has not been convicted in the case.

In Lindenwold, police found the body of Katherine Andujar, 39, while conducting a wellness check at a home on the 400 block of East Gibbsboro Road around noon.

She had been shot in the chest.

Alexander Morales, 44, was dead with a gunshot wound to the head, said the prosecutor’s account.

“At this time, the investigation has determined that Morales fatally shot Andujar and then shot himself,” it said.
