Jahmyr Gibbs stats, highlights: Alabama football RB breaks out for Detroit Lions on 'MNF'
Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs was unleashed in full force on "Monday Night Football," and he delivered in a way only a select few Lions players have.
The former Alabama football standout set a career-high in combined yards, a week after setting his previous high in a loss to Baltimore. Gibbs also had his first 100-yard rushing day and scored his first touchdown at Ford Field, his new home stadium, in the Lions' 26-14 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

"Job's not done," Gibbs said on "SportsCenter" of the Lions' (6-2) demeanor heading into a bye week. "We still got more to prove, 6-2 isn't good enough. We're here to win a Super Bowl."
Gibbs was forced into the lead-back role following an injury to running back mate David Montgomery, who has missed the past two games. In Montgomery's absence, Gibbs has shined with two breakout performances.
The 5-9, 200-pound runner played one season with the Crimson Tide (2022) after transferring from Georgia Tech and was the second running back selected (12th overall) in the 2023 NFL Draft. In his lone season with the Crimson Tide, Gibbs ran for 926 yards with 444 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns.

The Alabama product's touchdown came near the end of the third quarter, when he rushed up the middle and bounced outside for a 27-yard score. Safe to say Lions fans were excited about the breakout performance, as a fan pulled Gibbs into the stands during his touchdown celebration.
