It might be fun to imagine yourself running around the summertime childhood home of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (then Jackie Bouvier), but you'll need a big bank account to make it happen. The 10-bedroom, 13-bathroom estate is on the market for a whopping $55 million. Is is the Hamptons, after all.

Jackie Kennedy's Childhood Home: It's Really, Really Big

Built in 1917, the home is 8,500 square-feet situated on an impressive 7.15 acres in East Hampton, New York, reports the Wall Street Journal. There are three parking spaces, which will surely delight any Manhattanite.

It's Had a Big Price Hike

The last time this house was sold was 2018 — for $24 million. While it's been updated, we're not sure it's been updated enough to balloon to more than twice the price.

There's a Pool

For your $55 million, you do get a pool, though that's not all. There's also a two-bedroom guest house, a caretaker’s cottage, a pool house, and a workshop.

'A Place of Peace'

This estate is best known as Lasata, whose name allegedly means “place of peace” in Algonquin. The name was given to the home by Jackie's dad, John Vernou Bouvier Jr., who bought the place in 1925.

Hold Your Horses

While this home doesn't have some of the over-the-top features expected in estates with this kind of price tag, it certainly has history. Though Lanasta has changed (it was once 14 acres), Jackie (then Bouvier) learned to ride her horse on the grounds (there was once a paddock, stables, and a jumping ring).
