Jackie Chan has been kicking ass in movies forever (according to Forbes, his films have brought in $2.6 billion worldwide, which...mind-blowing), and I think we can all agree that he's both an icon AND a living legend, not to mention the moment. So it's no surprise that after over 200 movies, Jackie Chan has a reported net worth of $400 million in 2023. Like, the man is R-I-C-H. And he's giving every dollar of his money away. I'll give you a moment to process that before we dive into his top career earnings. Ready? Okay!

Let's Talk Rush Hour

Rush Hour is arguably Jackie Chan's most famous film franchise, and Celebrity Net Worth reports the movies have grossed $845 million globally. So what did Jackie make? Apparently, he took home $15 million on both Rush Hour 2 and Rush Hour 3, aka 15 percent of the gross.

Jackie Is One of the Highest Paid Actors in the World

Back in 2016, Jackie Chan was the second highest-paid actor in the entire world, according to Forbes which said he made $61 million thanks to being the "king of China's burgeoning box office" and starring in the Monkey King franchise. And he just kept earning more money from there.

He Owns His Own Line of Movie Theaters

Back in 2020, Forbes reported that Jackie had earned $40 million—part of which was thanks to roles in The Mystery of Dragon Seal: Journey to China and Project X-Traction, and part of which was thanks to endorsements, producer credits, and his own line of movie theaters.

Plus his branding is next level. Back in 2015, Forbes noted that Jackie had "enough brand extensions to make Jay Z jealous," including merch and a Segway dealership.

And He's Giving All His Money to Charity

Jackie confirmed this in 2012, reportedly saying that while he originally intended to donate half his wealth to charity and give the rest to his family, he changed his mind and decided to donate 100 percent to charitable causes. When asked about his son not getting any inheritance, Jackie reportedly said, "If he is capable, he can make his own money. If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money."

He's actually spoken about his desire to give his money away a few times, telling Forbes, "When I was a child, I was very poor and wanted everything. So when I got money I began buying things. Now I want to give away everything. When I give somebody something and see their face, it just makes me so happy."

And while raising money for Japan relief from earthquake, tsunami and radioactive fallouts in 2011, Jackie told The Hollywood Reporter, “The worst thing would be to ask others to give but not give yourself. My goal is to have a $0 in my bank account the day I die. I get very happy when I think about that, no more worries. I buy the things I like, I give money to charity, and then I try to make more money. I’ll be frank with you: It’s not difficult for me to make money. If it’s easy, why shouldn’t I give it away?”

'Kay, can we all agree that Jackie Chan is the absolute best for this? Rhetorical question: the answer is yes!
