‘Jackass’ director Jeff Tremaine files restraining order against star Bam Margera after death threats: report

“Jackass 4″ director Jeff Tremaine, who has worked with the stunt crew since its original inception on MTV in 2000, has filed a restraining order against star Bam Margera, according to a report.

Tremaine, 54, was granted a three-year restraining order against Margera, 41, that also applies to Tremaine’s wife and two kids after Margera made a series of death threats, People reports.

Tremaine provided screenshots of threatening text messages from Margera in his filing. Tremaine said in court documents that Margera’s threats started after Margera was fired from the production of “Jackass 4″ for violating his contract after suffering an addiction relapse and refusing counseling.

Margera has previously posted a number of times on social media to accuse Tremaine and fellow “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville of “betray[ing], abadon[ning] and reject[ing] him,” claims that other stars of the show and movies have rejected.

“Bam- the two people you’re saying wronged you (Knoxville and Tremaine) are the same two people who organized the intervention which saved my life,” Stephen “Steve-O” Glover posted last May in the comments of one such Margera outburst. “Everyone bent over backwards to get you in the movie, and all you had to do was not get loaded. You’ve continued to get loaded, it’s that simple.”

“Jackass 4″ is set for theatrical release on Oct. 22 and will debut on Paramount+ 45 days later.
