Isaiah Hartenstein hits half-court shot to close rough first half for Knicks vs. Pacers
Isaiah Hartenstein drained the shot the Knicks needed at just the right time.
The Knicks were ending a rough second quarter as Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton hit a three that put Indiana up by nine as the final seconds of the first half fell off the clock.
But Hartenstein delivered for the Knicks, taking the inbounds pass from Jalen Brunson before taking a few steps and shooting from beyond halfcourt and swishing the shot just before time expired as the Madison Square Garden crowd erupted.
Hartenstein's heave cut the Knicks' deficit to 55-49 at halftime.
Brunson led the Knicks with 18 points in the first half.
