Iowa State women's basketball guard Shantavia Dawkins entering transfer portal

When the Iowa State women's basketball season came to an end in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Cyclones coach Bill Fennelly admitted he didn't know what his roster would look like next season.

The first change to that roster has happened, with Iowa State guard Shantavia Dawkins announcing Wednesday night on social media that she has entered the transfer portal after two seasons with the Cyclones.

"First and foremost I want to express my appreciation to Iowa State for the last two years," Dawkins wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. "It's been an incredible journey playing for and representing an incredible program. After careful consideration and discussions with loved ones, I've decided to explore new opportunities by entering the transfer portal."
