  • Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie

  • Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis

  • Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley

  • Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson

  • Former Vice President Mike Pence

  • Entrepreneur and author Vivek Ramaswamy

  • South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott

  • Former President Donald Trump

When will the new Iowa Poll results be published?

What else was asked in this Iowa Poll?

In addition, the poll will test Iowans' feelings toward the Republican presidential candidates and their level of enthusiasm for their first choice.

The poll also will gauge likely Republican caucusgoers' thoughts on whether Trump should continue to lead the Republican Party and if they believe his legal challenges will hurt his electability.

In future days, the poll also will show how important a series of issues are to likely Republican caucusgoers as they evaluate candidates, including abortion restrictions, ethanol and renewable energy, transgender issues, immigration and border security, the Israel-Hamas war, the Russia-Ukraine war, the economy and inflation, government spending and the deficit, vaccinating against COVID-19, climate change and relations with China.

It also will survey likely caucusgoers about which candidate would best handle the Israel-Hamas war and whether they agree with Trump's comments on a six-week abortion ban.

And it will ask caucusgoers how important they think several qualities are for candidates to possess, including believing America should focus at home rather than overseas, being "the adult in the room," having foreign policy experience, believing in a strong American role in world affairs, willing to fight for Republican priorities without compromising, being a person of faith, beating Joe Biden, winning the Iowa Caucuses and being able to work with the opposing party to make Washington function.
