Looking for a home in the Fresno region? This interactive map will tell you what the average home is worth in just about every community between Chowchilla and Porterville.

Housing prices are dropping throughout much of California. However, as The Fresno Bee previously reported, Fresno and Tulare counties are still seeing month-over-month price increases, according to fresh data from the California Association of Realtors.

The map below, powered by data from national real estate firm Zillow, shows the average home value throughout the central San Joaquin Valley. Home values are available for the region’s major communities, including Clovis, Visalia, Tulare, Hanford and Fresno.

The most expensive real estate in the region can be found in the tiny Merced County community of El Nido. And the best bargains appear to be found in Cantua Creek, population 376.

The map is updated once a month as new data becomes available.
