Instagram and Facebook’s First Creator Week to Feature JoJo Siwa, Saweetie, 50 Cent and More

JoJo Siwa, Saweetie, Benito Skinner, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Elsa Majimbo, Yung BBQ and more are among the featured speakers at Instagram and Facebook’s first-ever Creator Week, which is set to take place virtually June 8-10.

Instagram/Facebook Creator Week, announced last week, is available by invitation only. Special select programming will be available to the general public on the @creators account on Instagram, including a daily recap series called “The Rundown” that will share highlights and behind-the-scenes content from the sessions. The full lineup of what will be made available via @creators is available at this link.

The 5,000 or so creators expected to be invited to the three-day event span up-and-coming creators and some of the top digital influencers. Creator Week will also include appearances from Instagram and Facebook execs as well as industry executives from agencies and creator-driven companies.

Among those confirmed to participate include: Benito Skinner, S!CK, Sinikiwe Dhliwayo, Jhánneu Roberts, Tommy Marcus, Coco and Breezy, Hailey Eylül Sani, Brendan Jordan, Leah Raquel, Victoria Lyn, Meeka, Kevin Ninh, DJ Dark Knight, Berna, Lonnie Marts IIV, Natalie Burdick, Vanessa Chen, Deja Foxx (GenZ Girl Gang), Adam Wescott (CreatorPlus), Andrew Graham (CAA), Courtney Holt (Spotify), Gael & Thomas (Teenager Therapy Podcast), Simone Oliver (Refinery29), Laurise McMillian (Refinery29 Unbothered), and Chris Sawtelle (ICM Partners).

Instagram/Facebook Creator Week will comprise creator meetups, DJs in residence, interactive workshops and other sessions to help creators build sustainable careers and businesses on Instagram and Facebook. The lineup includes a competition to win funding for development of a merch line, as well as the opportunity to get a video series funded across Facebook and Instagram and a drop-in artists studio where creators can get a custom illustration for their Feeds.

Sessions will provide tips on how creators can use the Instagram suite of products (Reels, Stories, Feed, Live and IGTV) to grow their businesses. Creator Week programming also is designed to support creators’ wellbeing — addressing issues like burnout — and connect them with their peers.
