On Thursday, April 27, the eighth Bytes & Bylines party—an annual gathering of technology, media, and political leaders, that kicks off the White House Correspondents’ Dinner weekend—was held at the residence of Irish Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason in Washington, D.C. The evening of power-player minglong was hosted by Allen Gannett, Eric Kuhn, Susanna Quinn, Sarah Kate Ellis, Shua Goodwin, and Adam Rathe, and sponsored by GLAAD, Ever/Body, and Town & Country.

Guests including Jim Acosta, Mike Allen, Jennifer Beals, Secretary Miguel Cardona, Chasten Buttigieg, Cesar Conde, Joe Crowley, Stephanie Cutter, Joey Gonzalez, Weija Jiang, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, John McCarthy, Norah O’Donnell, Evan Ryan, Amy Shecter, Jonathan P. Binstock, Daniel Heider, Robert and Elena Allbritton, Rep. John Joyce, Charlotte Clymer, Major Garrett, Jonathan Greenberger, Dan Kohn, Ben LaBolt, Alex Marquardt, Amna Nazaw, Rep. Mike Quigley, Rep. Mark Takano, and more enjoyed cocktails inside the art-filled residence and on its grounds, and were treated to remarks from Ambassador Nason and GLAAD president Sarah Kate Ellis. The gathering of entrepreneurs, executives, journalists, and celebrities were on hand to celebrate the importance of journalism and the First Amendment, and also to accelerate acceptance for LGBTQ people and issues in the United States. In the spirit of the evening, Bytes & Bylines made a donation to the White House Correspondents’ Association.
