Inside Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig's Private Romance After Splits From Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes

A few years after their high-profile divorces from Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, respectively, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are going strong!

The couple -- who has been discreetly dating for over a year -- were spotted together in Manhattan on June 11, almost two years after their former GMA3 co-anchors ex-spouses made headlines when their romance was publicly uncovered in November 2022.

At the time, Holmes, 46, and Robach, 51, were each married to their respective partners.

Shue and Fiebig's relationship was revealed last December. They were first spotted together at JFK Airport in NYC on Jan. 27.

"Initially, they had no interest in each other, but bonded over the trauma from their respective breakups," a source told ET at the time.

"Andrew and Marilee are taking things slow in their new romance, and trying to lay low in the midst of their very public breakups. The two find solace in one another, and have enjoyed getting to know each other away from the noise," the source explained.

Another source added, "Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig's relationship has surprised some close to those involved. But the relationship is not surprising because of the two's close bond as-of-recent, both leaning on each other in times of need, as well as their shared ideals. The two continue to stay under the radar and enjoy each other's company."

In January 2023, Holmes and Robach exited their roles at GMA3 and received compensation packages. Then, in May 2023, ABC News announced Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan as the new hosts of Good Morning America's third hour.

Robach and Shue finalized their divorce in March of that same year, while Holmes settled his divorce from Fiebig in October 2023.

Robach is the mother of two adult daughters -- Ava and Annie -- from her first marriage to Tim McIntosh. Holmes, meanwhile, shares an 11-year-old daughter, Sabine, with Fiebig, as well as daughter Brianna and son Jaiden from his first marriage to Amy Ferson.

Despite their relationships being out in the open, both couples have been navigating the complexities of their newfound romances.

Both Holmes and Robach have doubled down on the fact that they were not cheating on their spouses, and that they were in the process of getting a divorce. During the first episode of their iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J., Robach claimed that Shue had moved out of their shared home "months before" the news of their relationship broke. Holmes said he was photographed at the apartment he resided in by himself after he and Fiebig separated.

During an emotional January episode of their podcast, Holmes and Robach admitted that things "ain't right" in their relationship. After the episode was released, the pair wanted to clarify that there is no cause for alarm and they were still a couple.

"We're still together :)," the caption read on an Instagram post. "If you've already listened to today's episode on Amy and T.J., you'll understand! If you haven't, click the link in my bio to hear for yourself and let us know how you handle communication and conflict in your relationships! #linkinbio #relationships #communication #amyandtjpodcast."

In a video shared next to the caption, the former anchors set things straight.

"Hey folks," Holmes said as he walks arm-in-arm with Robach. "Just wanted to check in and let you know that despite what you've been hearing, we are still together. Our latest episode of the podcast was something we really struggled with and debated about whether or not we should put it out there but at this point I'm glad we did."

Robach chimed in, "Yeah, I am too because our larger goal in putting our our latest episode was to show that yes, we like to put pictures of us smiling like everyone else and laughing on social media, but if we want to be real and we want to be transparent, we want to show all the sides of us, and I would say most relationships. So we hope that you all get something out of it and we hope that you keep coming back."

More recently, both couples have affirmed that they are still going strong.

In June, Shue and Fiebig were spotted in Manhattan's West Village neighborhood, passionately kissing and engaging in a steamy PDA session before saying their goodbyes.

Fiebig looked effortlessly chic in a tie-dye dress with a pink sweater wrapped around her waist, while Shue kept it casual in a blue T-shirt and black shorts.

Meanwhile, in an April episode of their podcast, Amy & T.J., Robach and Holmes got candid about their highly scrutinized relationship. Robach admitted that they haven't figured out yet if they want to make their romance "legally binding."

"We're still deciding about what that level of commitment is... like, whether it's legal or not... but mentally, emotionally, we've absolutely agreed to commit to one another," she said. "We haven't figured the marriage thing out yet."

"I want to be with you for the rest of my life, and I would like to live with you when the time comes," explained Robach. "I want a life partner, I want someone who is with me. I like spending the night with you and waking up with you."

For Robach, she looks to the relationship between Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell as a model for an ideal romance. The pair have been together for 40 years and have successfully blended their families but never legally tied the knot.

"I've always been in awe of how every day they wake up and they choose to be together," Robach shared. "There's no legally binding document that says they have to be together."

Robach shared that she felt the institution of marriage simply appears to make a bond stronger, but does not actually do so.

"But I still default to that in my head," she added, explaining that there's still a part of her that wants to be married. Robach said that, if she could say "that's my husband, I'm his wife" it would feel "more official and more real, even though that's not necessarily the case."

"I am more excited, and I feel it's a stronger commitment to not get married," Holmes chimed in.
