Injured Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins appearing shirtless before Packers game, leading Skol chant is something no one expected

The last time the Green Bay Packers saw Kirk Cousins he tore his Achilles at Lambeau Field.

On Sunday night, the Packers saw him again, though not on the field, and it was quite the scene.

Cousins is out for the year so the Pro Bowl quarterback wasn't in uniform.

Instead, he was shirtless and leading the team's popular Skol chant with his son ahead of the Vikings' game against the Packers on "Sunday Night Football" and sounded the Gjallarhorn.

The veteran quarterback did wear an accessory. A huge gold chain.

What a look for New Year's Eve!

Cousins tore his Achilles in the fourth quarter of the Vikings' game against the Packers on Oct. 29. The Packers lost to the Vikings, 24-10, amid a four-game losing streak. Jaren Hall, the team's starter tonight, replaced Cousins in that game.

The Vikings then turned to quarterbacks Joshua Dobbs and Nick Mullens over the next two months before benching them both for Hall.

However, the Vikings benched Hall coming out of halftime and reinserted Mullens. Hall was 5 of 10 for 67 yards, one interception and a lost fumble in the first half. He had a 32.1 quarterback rating.

The Packers defense also sacked Hall three times. The Packers used an opportunistic and aggressive defense, along with a strong half by Jordan Love, to jump out to a 23-3 lead.

Social media reacted to Cousins being shirtless.
