Inflation may be cooling, but NJ seniors, low-wage earners feel the pinch

Regarding "Compared to '19, consumers are doing better than they think," NorthJersey.com, April 6:

Guest columnist and economist Leo Feler stated that the 25% increase in grocery prices equates to only 1% because household incomes have increased about 24% on average — mostly due to wage growth and many people shifting to better higher-paying jobs with a net effect in groceries at only 1%.

Feler totally discounts senior citizens on fixed incomes and low-wage workers barely surviving. Therefore, his article is misleading.
