Indiana Jones 5 lands an earlier UK release date
UK and Ireland Indiana Jones fans are in for a treat, as the next movie in the series is set to land earlier on the other side of the pond.
The Dial of Destiny is scheduled to hit the big screen on June 30, though it's now been confirmed that it will release two days prior in the UK and Ireland on June 28.
The news comes after it was revealed that the new movie will be the longest entry in the action franchise, running at roughly two hours and 22 minutes.

"I will say the early movies were shorter, they were under 2 [hours] 15 [minutes], and we talked about that quite a bit," Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently told Collider. "So, now I see why maybe they're interested in this.
"But as you know with runtime it's all about how you feel, right? So if you're sitting in a movie and it feels long, you're like, 'Uh...' We're not dealing with a long movie."
The movie will see the return of Harrison Ford as Indy, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge joining the franchise as his goddaughter Helena Shaw.
The Dial of Destiny was recently given a new trailer, which sees the characters in pursuit of the titular dial.

Meanwhile, Ford revealed in February that the new movie removed a number of "old Indy" jokes from its script, telling The Hollywood Reporter: "In [Dial of Destiny] there were a lot of old jokes in the script. We took them all out.
"There is a moment where he observes himself in this situation and says, 'What the f**k am I doing in here?' But I hate what I call 'talking about the story'.
"I want to see circumstances in which the audience gets a chance to experience the story, not to be led through the nose with highlights pointed out to them. I’d rather create behaviour that is the joke of age rather than talk about it."
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is scheduled for release on June 30, 2023 in the US and June 28, 2023 in the UK and Ireland.
