Allison Scheu poured in a game-high 19 points and got plenty of help from Talia Harris as the Tigers (17-6) knocked off the Greyhounds (11-12) for the second time in less than three weeks to advance to the sectional semifinals against Hamilton Southeastern. Izzy Shepherd led Carmel with 13 points, including three 3-pointers.

The 4A No. 2 Trojans (23-1) rattled off their 16th consecutive win and second over the Panthers (12-11) behind Audrey Annee’s game-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers. Rachel Wirts added 13 for the victors, who jumped in front 9-2 and never let off the gas.

Olivia Berszai, Addie Duncan and Anna Caskey led a balanced attack with double-figure efforts as the Trojans (16-8) avenged a regular-season ending loss to their Circle City Conference rival Braves (17-7), who saw a 10-game win streak snapped on the way out of sectional play. Brebeuf missed sophomore scoring leader Robyn Pate and her 10-points-per-game average, and couldn’t overcome Chatard’s 16-7 outburst in the opening period.
