Good morning! This is Keith Pandolfi, the food and dining writer for The Enquirer.
In my story today, I did a deep dive on My Kolorful Kitchen, an exciting, new-ish restaurant in Mason.
With just five tables, some daily specials written on a dry-erase board and no liquor license, this isn’t a place for large parties. The real draw here is owner Aparna “Appy” Thukrel Kad, who grew up in Bombay (now Mumbai). Her food reflects the cuisines of the entire Indian subcontinent.
Fresh, flavorful and, yes, “kolorful," Kad’s take on everything from bread pakoda to tikka masala is worth a drive to Mason. And if you already live in Mason, I envy you for having yet another great restaurant to frequent (I’m also a huge fan of Sichuan Bistro and Phoenician Taverna).
It sometimes makes me wonder if Mason is turning into Greater Cincinnati’s next great food destination.
