As part of Casper's bedding collection—which, incidentally, counts a number of Men's Health editors as fans—the brand's Hyperlite Sheets are sure to keep your A/C usage on the low side. Forget kicking off the sheets and duvet when it's too hot; you'll be too busy slumbering in bliss. They're billed as Casper's "coolest sheets yet," which isn't surprising considering the 100% Tencel Lyocell construction and ultra-breathable grid weave. Just add one of Casper's best-selling mattresses to elevate your whole bedroom experience.

We’re not going to lie: We love Casper bedding. Not surprisingly, its Hyperlite Cooling Sheets are no exception. Our hottest sleepers appreciated the featherweight construction. “I sleep crazy hot and love my linen sheets, but these feel like they’re half the weight!” said one of our staff writers. We unanimously agreed that the 100% Tencel Lyocell construction was not only lightweight but extremely soft and smooth, too.

The only real downside is the lack of available colors—there are only five muted, neutral options. But the price seriously can't be beat. At around $250 (with free shipping and free returns), the five-piece set includes not only one fitted and one flat sheet with two pillowcases, but a matching duvet cover too. But, even more importantly, it’s breathable and moisture-wicking, too, making these the perfect cooling sheets for hot sleepers. Like Purple’s beloved mattresses, these sheets are also extremely durable. With deep pockets and plenty of “give,” they easily adapt to fit your mattress perfectly, which also takes the headache out of making the bed.

We first came across these cooling sheets at the Topping Rose Hotel in Bridgehampton, York, and were immediately hooked. Nothing else feels quite like them, and after one night in, our hottest test panelists found them to be extremely cooling. Moreover, we weren’t expecting just how much of a difference the ultra-stretch fabric would make in making our beds. It might seem like a small feature, but again, it’s game-changing if you hate having to wrestle fresh, clean sheets onto your mattress before climbing in at night.

Our one minor gripe is that they’re only available in a half-dozen colorways—considerably fewer than some of the best cooling sheets we tested this year. But, at around $190 (for a full, four-piece Queen set), they’re reasonably priced right in the mid-range of their competitors. We’re big fans of all-natural and organic bedding (and almost everything else, really). But the right synthetics can almost always outperform. If you’re a hot sleeper looking for a set of moisture-wicking performance sheets (and pillowcases) to seriously keep you cool at night, Sheex delivers. These have a near-perfect 4.4+ rating based on over 3,000 glowing Amazon reviews. If you're looking for some of the best cooling sheets, these are it. That's thanks to a blend of polyester and spandex for maximum breathability, moisture-wicking, and softness. Plus, they get softer with each wash and are naturally resistant to wrinkling, pilling, and fading.

Our panelists were surprised at how premium the fabric of this sheet set feels. It’s clear that these are a cut above most of the cooling sheet alternatives we tested, and that alone justified the $200-plus price tag. We found the proprietary synthetic blend fabric to cool better than almost every other natural sheet set we tested. Our sleep test panelists loved how sleek and soft these cooling sheets felt, especially on these recent, record-hot summer nights here in the U.S. They didn’t perform quite as well as the best synthetic alternatives we tested. In our tests, we found Sleep Number’s True Temp Sheets outperformed almost every other cooling sheet set this year. We’ve tested bedding and other products with built-in 37.5 Technology before, and it’s the real deal. It traps and dissipates heat better than synthetic materials alone, and we also loved how it keeps us dry, too. As part of our sleep test, on some of the hottest summer nights this year, we were able to sleep without AC, and remain reasonably comfortable and dry. By adding a cooling mattress and pillow, we found a nearly perfect “keep cool” sleep set.

Unfortunately, these premium cooling sheets are only available in Queen sizes and larger, so Twin and Full mattress owners are out of luck. Fabrics

The main thing to consider as you outfit your bed is what the best material for cooling sheets will be for you. Natural and synthetic fibers each have their pros and cons.
