Trust me: They’re worth the splurge.
Ever since I started working from home full time a few years ago, I’ve made an effort to stock my closet with the coziest clothing and footwear I can find, from warm knit sweaters to super-comfortable joggers. So when I came across these pretty mule slippers from Olukai that are wrapped in fuzzy shearling, I couldn’t resist picking up a pair to add to my cozy collection.
With a $130 price tag, these slippers are a bit of a splurge, but trust me—they’re absolutely worth it. Thanks to that shearling wrapping (which genuinely feels like walking on a cloud), they’re the softest, comfiest shoes I own, hands down. But that’s not the only reason I love them. Unlike many other soft slippers, these are supportive and sturdy, with contoured footbeds and grippy soles that keep them on my feet even when I leave the house. I’ve worn these mules out to walk my dog and head to a neighbor’s house without ever worrying about slipping out of them, and I can easily picture popping them on for a trip to the airport and plane ride, too. It doesn’t hurt that they’re seriously pretty, with elegant leather accents and three color options: tapa (which I have), pale gray, and pink sea salt.

I’m far from the only person who’s obsessed with both the style and comfort of these great mules. One reviewer called them “the best house shoes/slippers ever, year round!” Another person wrote that they’re “the comfiest slippers I have ever owned!” Other shoppers noted the shoes’ “great arch support,” “lots of cushioning,” and “major warmth” that’s great for winter without causing sweaty feet. One reviewer raved: “It feels like they will last me forever while feeling pampered. Love them!”
As said, these slippers are on the pricey side, but considering their coziness, style, and versatile use, I for one think that the cost is warranted. Sure, you could spend less on lower-quality slippers, but you’d just have to replace them before long (especially if you wear them all day, every day). With these shoes, though, I feel confident that I’ll be able to get years of use out of them without the material wearing thin—and that my feet will feel fantastic every time I slip the mules on.
