Josie Gibson has backed her I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! campmate Sam Thompson for a role at This Morning.

Josie, who won Big Brother in 2010 and has been part of the This Morning presenting team since 2021, finished in fourth place on this year's I'm a Celeb, finishing behind former politician Nigel Farage, boxer Tony Bellew and eventual winner, Made in Chelsea's Sam.

Unsurprisingly, it's Sam that Josie has pitched for to join her on This Morning's sofa as a co-host.

Speaking to Metro, Josie said that she'd seen speculation that Sam would be joining the show, and was thrilled: "I have seen the rumours that he might be doing something with This Morning and I was like, 'Can we please keep him?'

"I would love for him to come over to This Morning and be part of the family. He would make such a lovely addition.

"I’m hoping that the rumours are true, but I don’t know anything."

Sam appeared on the show as a guest to discuss his win on I'm a Celeb, and Josie revealed that she "fell in love with him all over again".

Josie also revealed that she sees big things for Sam, no matter what: "When Sam was in a jungle, he said he would love to be on Ant and Dec’s level," she shared.

"I said, 'I think you can get there, you really can do it.' He’s got the magic about him."

After exiting the jungle, Josie was rushed to hospital with a severe case of tonsillitis.

"When I got back, I had severe tonsillitis and I couldn't breathe and got taken to hospital on Friday and they put me on a drip and gave me lots of steroids to bring the swelling down so I could breathe again," she revealed.
