Vintage interior design and decor is definitely in for 2024, and IKEA is capitalizing on that trend in a genius way. The iconic home furnishings retailer is pulling from its archives for new collections that feel both nostalgic and of-the-moment. IKEA has already released two drops for Nytillverkad, the retailer's 80th anniversary collection, and the third drop just became available to shop online. The most recent additions to the line include a revived green swivel chair from the 1967 IKEA catalog, a side table with chrome accents from the 1971 catalog, and more. Shop the bold, colorful, and perfectly retro drop below.

DYVLINGE Swivel Chair

This swivel chair is kind of the star of the drop. The bright green color makes it an immediate statement piece (though it's also available in black, if that's more your style) and the chrome plated star-shaped base provides a sleek and modern balance to the heavy and plush chair seat. Not to mention, finding an accent chair with this much style for under $200 is no easy feat, so we're pretty excited about the price tag on this one.

SOTENÄS Armchair

Another great statement chair in the drop is the bright yellow SOTENÄS armchair, a design revived from IKEA's 1969 catalog. While there aren't really any "arms" on this so-called armchair, the wide base is perfect for pulling your legs up onto the seat and curling up to watch, let's say, reruns of Mad Men?

BAGGBODA Side table

This side table is rather simple in design, but it's sure to be a standout piece, whether used as a coffee table or side table. First designed in 1971, the table features a tubular steel frame that was such a common feature in '70s features and, thanks to the renewed popularity of this design era, fits so well in modern homes today. The light yellow option is a great choice for homes with bright and warm color palettes, while the white option works well for homes with cool-toned palettes.

BULLERREMSA Rug

Shag rugs will always be controversial, but one thing we can't debate is their coziness. This high-pile rug is a modern take on a rug design from IKEA's 1958 catalog. It comes in a bright blue, black, and white colorway, as well as a slightly quieter grey, black, and white option.

While '60s interior design is remembered by many for its clean lines and functional furnishings, we can't forget about another major influence from the time: groovy, psychedelic styles. This revived pattern from the 1968 IKEA catalog is exactly that—accented with whimsical, organic shapes—only it's reimagined with a monochromatic black and white colorway that may better suit some people's interiors today.
