The 2024 IIHF Women's World Championship begins April 3 at Utica's Adirondack Bank Center with pool play leading into the playoff round of the 10-team tournament.

Team USA is the favorite, winning six of the last eight tournaments — 10 overall — and reaching the gold-medal game in all 22 IIHF Women's World Championships.

The 10 teams are divided into groups A and B, with the top three from each group advancing to quarterfinals out of the preliminary-round matchups.
