Ice cream and hot honey? Perry’s Ice Cream introduces new flavors
Perry’s Ice Cream Company has introduced five new ice cream flavors that will make their debuts this month. An intriguing one will incorporate a trendy sweet-and-spicy condiment.
Bee Sting, which will be served at scoop shops and restaurants, will add add swirls of hot honey ― honey infused with chilis ― into vanilla pudding ice cream along with a graham cracker swirl. Hot honey has become popular in savory dishes like pizzas, fried chicken and charcuterie.
The other flavor that will be sold at scoop shops and restaurants reflects a trend toward nostalgia. Fruit Scoops will evoke the milk left at the end of eating a bowl of fruity cereal; it will have fruity cereal ice cream with fruity cereal swirls.
The other new flavors:
Caramel Panda Paws: Sea salt caramel ice cream with caramel panda paw cups and swirls of thick rich fudge, sold in retail stores in 1 1/2-quart containers.
Over the Moon: Extra indulgent toffee ice cream with crushed cookie swirls and sponge candy pieces, sold in retail stores in 16-ounce containers.
Cookie Jar: Sea salt caramel ice cream with chocolate chip cookie chunks, sold at retail stores in a 1 1/2-quart container, as well as at scoop shops and restaurants.
