CBS broadcaster Ian Eagle learned the hard way that Tom Brady never forgets any of his encounters with the media.

During this week’s episode of the “Sports Illustrated Media Podcast,” Eagle recalled the time that Brady made fun of his eating habits.

A few years ago, Eagle was eating a doughnut and drinking a Pepsi while waiting in the New England Patriots’ press area. That combination didn’t sit well with Brady.

“I fly into Boston, I get a ride from Boston into their facility and I get there and Jimmy: I’m a wreck. I’m working on, for me, too little sleep. I don’t drink coffee. I’ve never had a drink of coffee in my life. I go into the meeting room and they had in the press area – it’s empty except for us. First, they bring Dunkin’ Donuts – big box. And in the press area they have sodas, and it was a large Pepsi,” Eagle said. “So I just convinced myself I’m going to have the Pepsi. That’s going to give me the jolt, and they bring in doughnuts. So Tom walks in while I have a large Pepsi in front of me and a half-eaten chocolate frosted doughnut. And Brady says ‘Having a good morning? Ian, how’s that all working out for you?’ I said: ‘Normally, I wouldn’t have a Pepsi at 9 a.m.’ He doesn’t want to hear it.”

Instead of giving Eagle a pass, Brady decided to make fun of him the very next time they came face-to-face.

“Three weeks later, we have him again, road game. First thing he says when he steps up, he’s like ‘Where’s your doughnut? Where’s your Pepsi?’ He knows to keep going back to it. A year later, he’ll go back to it. He doesn’t forget s**t.”

Brady is very cautious when it comes to eating healthy foods, so this story doesn’t surprise us.

Unfortunately for Eagle, he might be viewed as a doughnut connoisseur in the eyes of Brady.
