Due to a malfunctioning HVAC system, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre has canceled three performances of its new world premiere production about the Milwaukee police station bombing of 1917.

Performances of Martín Zimmerman's "The Not-So-Accidental Conviction of Eleven Milwaukee 'Anarchists'" scheduled for April 27, 28 and 29 were canceled because the HVAC system in the Broadway Theatre Center's Studio Theatre "is currently malfunctioning causing both uncomfortable and unsafe temperatures," MCT said in an emailed statement.

The Studio Theatre is the smaller of two performance spaces in the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway.

The April 29 performance was scheduled as a pay-what-you-can show. The new pay-what-you-can performance will be at 7:30 p.m. May 13.

Given the cancelations, MCT has extended the run of the "Anarchists" a week, through May 19. It plans to release more info in the near future on the new performance dates.

In Zimmerman's play, actors Elyse Edelman, King Hang, Dimonte Henning and Kelsey Elyse Rodriguez tussle over how to tell the story and how to interpret the meaning of events.
