A man who taught himself how to grow cannabis by watching online tutorials has been sentenced.

Cambridgeshire Police found Arnoldas Stasys, 33, with 67 cannabis plants worth more than £56,000 at a property in Wimblington Road, Doddington.

Following the raid in January, Stasys told police he learned it all online.

He admitted production of cannabis and was sentenced at Cambridgeshire Crown Court to a year in prison, suspended for 18 months.

Stasys, of Sallowbush Road in Huntingdon, also told police he managed to get everything he required for his cannabis factory from online sites.

Det Con Bethany Reynolds, who investigated the crime, said: "Stasys... knew that he was committing an offence but chose to continue anyway.

"Tackling issues surrounding drugs continues to be a force priority, and I would like to ask the public to help us in doing so by reporting their concerns and any suspicious activity."
