Personal opinion? Hugh Jackman should be a millionaire based on the amount of residuals he got from his Oscar-worthy (YES, I SAID IT) work as an oft-shirtless wolverine with hot metal claws in X-Men. And great news! He is. That said, Hugh's net worth—which is beyond huge—has gotten slightly complicated due to the fact he's going through a breakup after decades of marriage. So things might change, but let's get into it!

Hugh Jackman's X-Men Earnings

Hugh has been in a ton of X-Men movies (and several solo Wolverine movies) and has earned quite a bit along the way. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he got $5 million for X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006, $20 million for X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009, another $20 million for The Wolverine in 2013, and $7 million for X-Men: Days of Futures Past in 2014.

And don't forget he's reprising the role for Deadpool 3! TBD on what Hugh is being paid to strap on his claws, but judging from his previous take-homes, gonna assume it's somewhere north of $5 million.

FYI, it seems like Hugh's salary peaked in 2013, when Forbes reported that he made $55 million (!!!!!) thanks largely to his X-Men roles and Les Mis. Which brings us tooooooo....

Some Other Lucrative Career Highlights

Per Celebrity Net Worth, these are some of Hugh's biggest earning projects that have nothing to do with X-Men:

  • Van Helsing: $2 million

  • Butter: $2 million

  • Les Misérables: $5 million

  • Real Steel: $9 million

  • Australia: $10 million

Hugh also has his own coffee company, a production company (which his ex-wife is also involved in, so TBD how that's impacted by their split), and recently had a run in Broadway's The Music Man (which brought in $3 million a week, per Variety, so safe to assume his cut was pretty big).

If you want to spend some time avoiding your responsibilities, this is a fun watch:

Hugh Jackman's Real Estate Portfolio

Hugh reportedly dropped $21 million for a triplex in NYC back in 2012 and put it on the market in June 2022 for $39.8 million. He also owns property in East Hampton (which he rents for $500,000 a season) and another $21 million penthouse in NYC.

His Divorce Will Likely Impact His Net Worth

Hugh and his wife of 27 years, Deborra-lee Jackman, dropped a joint statement announcing their separation on September 15, 2023—and Us Weekly reports the split is somewhat complicated because of Hugh's massive net worth.

"Their lives were so interwoven, so it’s an extremely tricky and gut-wrenching process dividing everything up and figuring out who gets what in terms of assets and finances," a source explained, adding, "That’s what they need to work out. The [divorce] filing will be formalized in due course, but before that happens, their aim is to come to an agreement. They’re determined to [do this] as amicably as possible."

So What Is Hugh Jackman's Net Worth?

That would be $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth! It's unclear if this number takes into account the division of some of Hugh and Deb's assets post-split, but either way, this is obviously a massive amount of money to play with.

And keep in mind Hugh has several projects on the docket—including Apostle Paul, The Good Spy, and Faraway Downs (which co-stars Hugh's close friend Nicole Kidman). So expect his net worth to tick up in the coming months.
