The Howlin Bird to open 2nd eatery in Massillon

The Howlin Bird has announced its second restaurant will open in June in Massillon.

Owners said in a Facebook post that they've actively been looking for a location and settled on Meadows Plaza at 2010 Lincoln Way E. The plaza also is home to a Target store and a Giant Eagle supermarket. The new location also will be located near a Panera Bread eatery.

The original Howlin Bird is at 123 S. Main St. in North Canton. Brothers Nael and Samm Taki opened the popular eatery in late 2020. A photo of the brothers accompanies the announcement on the social media site.

"We figured this plaza could be your potential one stop shop!" owners said in the Facebook post. "Massillon has strong ties within its community, extremely school- and family-oriented, and support local businesses like no other. We thought we would be a perfect fit for this tight-knit community. It’s far enough away from store #1 that we can reach even more Flockers!"

Howlin Bird specializes in rotisserie chicken and home-breaded tenders, served with sides that include housemade macaroni and cheese and fried brussels sprouts. Dishes can be flavored with Nashville seasoning or any number of sauces.

The second The Howlin Bird, with a to-be-determined opening date this summer, is hiring all positions. Apply through their website here.
