‘Housebroken’ Canceled After Two Seasons at Fox
The animated comedy “Housebroken” has been canceled at Fox after two seasons.
The series aired its second season at the broadcaster last year. It originally debuted on Fox in May 2021 and was renewed for its second season in August of that year. According to Nielsen data, it was averaging approximately 1 million viewers and a 0.1 rating in adults 18-49 in the Live+7 ratings in its second season. Streaming data for the show is not publicly available. It remains available to stream on both Tubi and Hulu.

The show featured an all-star voice cast that included Lisa Kudrow, Will Forte, Clea DuVall, Nat Faxon, Sharon Horgan, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson and Jason Mantzoukas. Per the official logline, the series followed “a group of neighborhood animals as they work through their issues, inside and outside their therapy group.”
“Housebroken” was created by Gabrielle Allan, Jennifer Crittenden and DuVall. All three also served as edecutive producers along with Horgan, Clelia Mountford, Melanie Frankel, Aaron Kaplan, Dave Jeser, and Matt Silverstein. The series was produced by Kapital Entertainment and Fox Entertainment, with Fox’s Bento Box Entertainment providing the animation.

Fox’s “Animation Domination” Sunday programming block continues to be anchored by long-running hits “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” and “Bob’s Burgers.” Newer shows in the lineup include “The Great North,” “Grimsburg,” and Dan Harmon’s “Krapopolis,” with “Krapopolis” already renewed through Season 3. Fox is also prepping the series “Universal Basic Guys” from creators Adam and Craig Malamut. “Universal Basic Guys” hails from Sony Pictures Television, where the Malamuts are under an overall deal.
