Is this house ‘the perfect superhero lair’? Or quirky? Check out the Missouri digs
Even though they’re inanimate objects, some houses exude an abundance of personality, and this wild residence in St. Peters, Missouri, proves it — both inside and out.
It may even have a touch too much charisma.
Nevertheless, the uniquely shaped six-bedroom, four-bathroom house is on the real estate market for $1.2 million.
“This is the 1st time this one-of-a-kind custom built round steel home has been on the market!” the listing on Zillow.com boasts. “Nestled into 3 acres of wooded land you’ll feel worlds away but will be in easy proximity to St. Louis Lambert International Airport and Spirit of St. Louis Business Aviation Center.”
And as perplexing as it looks on the outside, nothing will prepare you for the maze that is the interior.
“Welcome friends and family down the private drive to enjoy over 6,700-square-feet of living space built to suit large families with multiple spaces to entertain in,” the listing says.
Especially the space that appears to have gigantic jail cell-looking bars surrounding it.
And sure, it’s not without its other highlighted features, including:
Open floor plan
Views
Private deck
The home managed to catch the attention of the popular social media real estate page Zillow Gone Wild, which labeled the home “the perfect superhero lair” before people came charging with their opinions.
“I really want to see a floor plan because I am so lost,” one person said.
“More like someone ordered a Disney timeshare from Wish dot com,” another joked.
“This reminds me of where the characters lived underground in ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse,’” someone observed.
“With that carpeting, more like super villain,” one person joked.
“I can’t (figure) out if the owner is 26, 86, or Batman,” another commented.
“Every other picture, I LOVE - and the next, I HATE. It’s very confusing!” someone said.
“Looks like a bathroom you see at a state park,” one person said of the exterior.
“This is the WORST zombie cage I’ve ever seen,” another observed. “Those bony little reanimated jerks could just slip right through those bars.”
“Love the juxtaposition of grandma meets modern jail cell decor,” someone remarked.
“When you escaped from Alcatraz, but you low key miss the place,” one person joked.
And then there’s the ever present question of what exactly that thing is in one of the sitting rooms.
“What IS that? A freaking crematorium???”
