'House of the Dragon' according to zodiac sign

The battle for the Iron Throne commences on June 16 when season 2 of House of the Dragoncomes back to Max, and as fans gear up to see what comes next after last season's cliffhanger, it's only right we get some help from the stars.

A prequel to Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon takes place roughly 200 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen — who wound up being one of the polarizing figures from the first show. And much like GoT, House of the Dragon is filled with a host of questionable characters who explore everything from family drama to friendship betrayals to power hunger.

So, it's understandable that fans have a hard choosing one side and sticking to it. If you can't pick who you want to stand by between the Blacks and the Greens maybe knowing which zodiac sign aligns with each character might help you choose an alliance.

Below, we tapped astrologer Lisa Stardust to see which House of the Dragon you are, based on your zodiac sign.

Aries: Princess Rhaenys Targaryen

She may not be the loudest one in the room, but Princess Rhaenys Targaryen makes sure that her opinions are always heard. Assertive, domineering with an aura that exudes power, no matter what the whispers in the realm say, she stays strong and flies high above all the naysayers, as any Aries would.

"Both exhibit bravery and certainty when times are tough and never give up in the face of adversity," says astrologer Lisa Stardust. "Rhaenys demands attention and lives by her passions, as every Aries would."

Taurus: Otto Hightower

HBO
Rhys Ifans in 'House of the Dragon'

Steady, calculated and operating from the wings, Otto Hightower is the ultimate Taurus. Though his methods leave much to be desired, "decorum, security, and stability in the realm" means stability for his family and protection which is instrumental for this Earth sign, which doesn't take too kindly to unpredictable change.

Gemini: Jacerys and Lucerys Velaryon

"Since Gemini are siblings, Lucerys and Jacerys are easily connected to the Air sign," says Stardust. And even though this air sign is symbolized by twins, Jace and Luke — the sons of Princess Rhaenynra — still suffer a similar fate: "Just like the myth of Castor and Pollux, one twin is sacrificed while the other mourns their death."

Cancer: Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen

HBO
Emma d'Arcy in 'House of the Dragon'

"Her warmth and quiet nature makes her disposition align with that of Cancer," says Stardust. And much like the intuitive Water sign, she can sense people's true intentions before they come to the surface.

Emotional, protective and homely, Princess Rhaenyra is not only a great listener and advisor, but once provoked, she is quick to bite back, exactly like the crab that symbolizes Cancer.

Leo: Laenor Velaryon

If nothing else, Leos are governed by their deep desire to be themselves and Laenor proved that by making the choice that was going to allow him to do so. Also known for being protective over their pride, Laenor ended up making the choice that not only benefitted his self-interests, but those of his wife, Princess Rhaenyra and their children as well.

Virgo: King Viserys I Targaryen

HBO
Paddy Considine in 'House of the Dragon'

Many may not have agreed with his decisions, but no one can accuse King Viserys of being impulsive. Every decision was painstakingly thought out and every scenario analyzed with excruciating delicacy, all so he doesn't cause dissension in the realm.

"Virgos are analytical which causes them to go back and forth in their decision-making, like Viserys," says Stardust. "Always looking at the good in situations and others, both Virgos and Viserys want to believe that every action can be understood with patience and time without drama."

Libra: Alicent Hightower

HBO
Olivia Cookie in 'House of the Dragon'

Known for their diplomacy, social skills and charm, Alicent Hightower is the quintessential Libra as she knows exactly who to get close to and when to do so in order to create the balance that Libras so crave and tilt the odds to their favor.

"This air sign can be judgmental of others, who don’t align with the civilities or expectations of society, which is something Alicent does," Stardust also notes.

Scorpio: Aemond Targaryen and Larys Strong

HBO
Ewan Mitchell (l) and Matthew Needham (r) in 'House of the Dragon'

With a brooding intensity and unbeatable quest for power, it's no wonder Aemond Targaryen — the son of Alicent Hightower and King I Viserys — falls in line with being a Scorpio. Transformative by nature, the water sign is confident, assertive and impulsive like Aemond.

Larys Strong channels the more sinister side of Scorpios. "His moral compass is to be questioned, but his goal is to attain success," says Stardust. "Scorpios won't let anyone stand in their way of power and neither will Larys. You never know what to expect from him, like the transformative sign Scorpio who can manipulate emotions too."

Sagittarius: Ser Criston Cole

Symbolized by the archer, Sagittarians are the protectors of the universe. And though they'll keep their mouths shut in order to keep the peace, these Fire signs are not exactly ones to easily let go of a grudge. "Like the mentality of the archer, Ser Criston Cole forgives but doesn’t forget."

Capricorn: Daemon Targaryen

HBO
Matt Smith in 'House of the Dragon'

HBO

He might be loud, boastful and imposing, but Daemon's confidence lies in the fact that he knows he can execute. "He'll stop at nothing to get what he wants and once a Capricorn is determined, they’ll do whatever it takes to win," Stardust reveals.

And though the king's brother is well known for his various trysts, he ultimately finds his match in his niece/wife Princess Rhaenyra. "The sea goat longs for love and commitment, which Daemon finds," says Stardust. "They want someone to grow old alongside them who they can plot their next scheme with."

Aquarius: Corlys Velaryon

Never one to mince his words, Corlys Velaryon — the husband to Princess Rhaenys — was famous for his disagreements with the king, but still never wavered in his loyalty. And while Aquarians tend to be blunt and aloof in their delivery of information at times, they are do-gooders at the end of the day, and ultimately want what's best for the world at large.

Pisces: Aegon II Targaryen

HBO
Tom Glynn Carney in 'House of the Dragon'

HBO

Led purely by his emotions, Aegon Targaryen — who succeeds his father, King Viserys — is the embodiment of some of the negative characteristics attached to Pisces. He has an idealistic notion of what it means to be king, one where the world worships at his feet and he gets to be reckless and void of responsibility.

"Aegon lives in his own world/imagination," explains Stardust. "His romantic sentiments align with the watery characteristics of Pisces, since he leads with emotion and has a hard time with boundaries —in setting and adhering to limits set upon them."
