Hopatcong police investigating antisemitic materials left at homes, Jewish center

The Hopatcong Police Department is seeking the public's help to identify the individual responsible for distributing antisemitic materials at homes and a Jewish community center over the weekend.

The individual, believed to have been traveling in a white sedan, placed pamphlets on Maxim Drive properties and put stickers on the bulletin board in front of the Hopatcong Jewish Center, the department posted on Facebook Tuesday morning.

The acts took place sometime between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Hopatcong Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with videos or other information about the incident or suspect is asked to contact the agency at 973-398-5000.

Residents who feel fearful or harassed can also contact the New Jersey Office of Victim-Witness Advocacy at 609-292-6766.
