Home runs and hat tricks: Jackson area TSSAA spring sports top performers for Week 7

The TSSAA spring sports regular season is beginning to wind down.

Jackson area athletes are out showing their skills in the shortest season of the school year.

Here are the Jackson area top performers for Week 7.

MONDAY

Soccer

USJ 9, TIPTON-ROSEMARK 0: Ryan Hutchison scored a hat trick for the Bruins in the lopsided victory. Deuce Davenport, Will King and Christian Melton each added two goals apiece. Nicholas Donelli made four saves in the shutout victory.

JACKSON CHRISTIAN 3, AUGUSTINE 2: Hudson Little scored two goals in the Eagles' victory. Elijah DeMoss added a goal, as well.

Softball

WESTVIEW 3, GIBSON COUNTY 0: McCall Sims struck out 17 batters in a complete game effort without issuing a walk to lead the Chargers. Sims also hit a solo home run in the third inning and a two-run homer in the fifth inning for three RBIs on two hits.

JACKSON CHRISTIAN 17, FAYETTE ACADEMY 2 (3 INNINGS): Bailey Robinson hit a two-run home run as part of a three-hit, five-RBI night while adding a triple and four runs scored to lead the Eagles. Robinson also picked up the win in the circle, striking out four in a run-rule victory.

SCOTTS HILL 10, ADAMSVILLE 0 (6 INNINGS): Gracie Wooley led the Lions with two hits and three RBIs, including a double. Karlee Flowers added three RBIs for the Lions, as well.

TCA 15, BOLIVAR 5 (5 INNINGS): Jenna Joyce collected three hits, including a double, and a RBI for the Lions. Haley Lewis drove in three runs with two hits and struck out seven batters in three innings of work. Isabella Lax hit a three-run home run as part of a two-hit, three-RBI game for the Tigers.

CROCKETT COUNTY 17, COVINGTON 1 (5 INNINGS): Lynden Cole hit two home runs for the Cavaliers, including a grand slam in the second inning and a three-run home run in the third.

DRESDEN 21, GREENFIELD 0 (4 INNINGS): Allie Spaulding knocked around three hits for the Lions and collected four RBIs in the lopsided victory. Eva Stafford and Mollie Oliver had three RBIs apiece.

ARLINGTON 5, DYER COUNTY 2: Maddie Claire Wilkerson had five strikeouts in a four-inning relief appearance for Dyer County. Rylee Kee and Katie Beth Caldwell each drove in a run.

BRUCETON 12, McKENZIE 1 (5 INNINGS): Anna Kee hit a two-run triple in the first inning as part of a three-RBI night for the Tigers. Madison Holder had four hits for the Tigers and two RBIs while racking up nine strikeouts in the win.

SOUTH FULTON 12, LAKE COUNTY 2 (5 INNINGS): Maddie Gray hit a three-run double for the Red Devils in the second inning and collected a total of five RBIs in the victory while racking up five strikeouts in three innings of no-hit ball.

CHESTER COUNTY 8, LEXINGTON 3: Shay Hollingsworth had two hits for the Tigers.

MIDDLETON 2, BRADFORD 1: Brianna Smith had two hits, including a double, for the Tigers and had a RBI in the win. Caitley Mott struck out six in a two-hit complete game.

OBION COUNTY 3, UNION CITY 1: Brea Martin struck out 10 batters in a two-hit complete game for the Rebels. Alayna Fussell had two hits in the win while Ava Puckett had a RBI double for Obion County.

MILAN 7, PEABODY 2: Camryn Greene racked up eight strikeouts in a complete game win for the Bulldogs while Ashley Williamson scored twice.

RIPLEY 16, HALLS 0 (5 INNINGS): Kierianna Beard knocked around three hits with a RBI while scoring twice for Ripley. Jaycee Prather collected three RBIs with three hits.

RIVERSIDE 7, PERRY COUNTY 4: Lauren Ruehl had three-run home run in the fifth inning for the Panthers while Jayla Davenport had two hits, including a triple, and a RBI. Ruehl started the game, was replaced, and entered back into the game in the circle. She had six strikeouts across five innings and picked up the save.

SOUTH SIDE 20, NORTH SIDE 1 (3 INNINGS): Aubrey Massengill drove in two runs with two extra base hits (a double and a triple) and scored twice for the Hawks, who scored 17 runs in the third inning. Caitln Cox had three hits and three RBIs in the win while Stephanie Johnson had three RBIs with a double.

ST. BENEDICT-AUBURNDALE 8, USJ 3: Haylen Ayers hit a two-run home run in the sixth for the Bruins. Abby Brown hit a solo home run in the fourth.

Baseball

ADAMSVILLE SWEEPS LIBERTY IN DOUBLEHEADER: Keelan Surratt struck out 13 batters to lead the Cardinals in an 18-0 win in Monday's doubleheader opener, he also added two hits and a RBI. In the nightcap, Adamsville won 19-3, and Reed Harmon had four RBIs and three hits, including a double. Ashton Duke compiled three hits in the two games.

BRADFORD 12, MIDDLETON 2 (6 INNINGS): Ethan Richardson drove in three RBIs on two hits, including a double, while Hatcher Mercer drove out a two-run home run for the Red Devils. Blane Fisher struck out 13 batters in a five-inning start and did not allow a hit.

CHESTER COUNTY 11, SOUTH SIDE 1 (5 INNINGS): Dean Estes collected four RBIs on two hits for the Eagles, who scored 10 runs in the fifth inning. Estes also picked up the win on the mound with five strikeouts. Brooks Johnson and Jayce Goff each had two RBIs in the win.

CLARKSBURG 19, HUMBOLDT 8 (5 INNINGS): Will Waugh drove in five runs on two doubles for the Rockets, who scored 13 runs in the fourth inning. Graydon Hall drove in four runs for the Rockets, including a two-run double. Kavien Taylor hit a two-run triple for the Vikings.

DRESDEN 18, LAKE COUNTY 1 (3 INNINGS): Will Kibbler hit a three-run home run for the Lions in the win, Dresden scored 12 runs in the second inning. Reese Bell had two hits and a RBI. Luke Di Pietro struck out four in the three-inning win.

DYER COUNTY 14, OBION COUNTY 1 (6 INNINGS): Kole Fenton had four RBIs on four hits, including two doubles and a triple, in the victory. Talon Messer hit a three-run home run in the first inning. Trey Tarkington struck out five battes in four innings.

GIBSON COUNTY 4, RIPLEY 0: Cole Lannom struck out 11 batters in six innings for the Pioneers and added two hits, including a triple. Logan White had two RBIs on two hits, including a double.

SOUTH FULTON 7, GLEASON 1: Brady McFarland led the Red Devils with two RBIs on a hit while Charles Michael McClachy had a hit and RBI while racking up seven strikeouts in a complete game effort. Aiden Legens had a triple for the Bulldogs.

GREENFIELD 6, UNION CITY 3: Will Edwards struck out 10 batters across 6 2/3 innings to lead the Jackets to a win. Caden Sparkman had a two-run single for the Jacket offense. Troy Joslin had two hits for the Golden Tornadoes.

McNAIRY CENTRAL 2, HARDIN COUNTY 1: Maddox Duncan drew a bases-loaded walk for the Bobcats in the seventh to score the go-ahead run, bringing Kendall Kiestler. Duncan added a hit in the win. Stryder Jones struck out nine batters for the Tigers in a complete game effort and added a triple. Ryder Harville hit a solo home run for the Tigers' only run of the game.

MILAN 17, PEABODY 6 (6 INNINGS): Colin Milligan knocked around four hits, including a triple, adding a RBI and scoring four times for the Bulldogs. Will Johnson (3-0) picked up the win with six strikeouts in five innings of work. Rye Maxwell went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and four runs. Cary Burke hit a two-run home run as part of a three-hit, five-RBI night.

RIVERSIDE 7, MADISON 4: Aiden Creasey struck out 13 batters in a complete game effort for the Panthers while Cody Brasher hit a two-run home run for the in the win and had a RBI double. Cole Yarboro and Peyton Kirk each had two RBIs, Yarboro added a triple. Dylan Stranak had two hits and a RBI for the Mustangs while Carter Noble had two RBIs.

SOUTH GIBSON 22, DYERSBURG 1 (6 INNINGS): Tommy Baker hit a grand slam in the fourth inning for the Hornets as part of a three-hit, five RBI night. Gage Nesbitt had four RBIs in the win while Jack Bradberry and Brock Beasley each had three RBIs. Cade Allen struck out nine batters in six innings.

TCA 1, TIPTON-ROSEMARK 0: Owen Atwood scored the lone run of the game on a RBI single from Andrew Perry for the Lions. Perry picked up the win on the mound with five strikeouts in five innings.

USJ 10, HAYWOOD 0 (5 INNINGS): Clenon Hardin hit a three-run home run for the Bruins and Noah Britt added a two-run home run. Nash Kilburn struck out eight batters in three innings of one-hit ball.

HALLS 10, WEST CARROLL 3: Nolen Grant had three hits for the War Eagles in the loss while Jose Martinez and Drake O'Bryan each had two hits.
