Home runs and goals: Vote for the Columbia area boys athlete of the week

It's once again time to vote for The Daily Herald's Columbia area boys athlete of the week for April 22-26.

This week's candidates include:

Gunner Skelton, Columbia Academy: Skelton was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs in an 11-1 win over Zion Christian last Thursday. Skelton also went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases in a 22-2 win last Monday.

Konner Bowden, Columbia Central: Bowden was 5-for-12 on the week with a home run, a triple, a double, three stolen bases, two total runs and an RBI as Columbia went 3-0.

Lane Sharp, Columbia Central: Sharp pitched six innings, striking out 12 batters while allowing two hits and no earned runs in a 5-2 win last Tuesday. He was also 2-for-5 on the week with two home runs and four RBIs.

Benton Wall, Columbia Central: Wall had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Shelbyville Central.

Emmitt Foretich, Independence: Foretich had four goals in a 5-0 win over Summit.

TJ Gobble, Lawrence County: Gobble was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, five RBIs and three total runs in a 17-0 win last Tuesday.

Jackson Traglia, Loretto: Traglia was 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three RBIs and an additional run in a 12-1 win last Friday.

Davin Roush, Summit: Roush struck out 13 batters in 6.2 innings pitched, allowing three hits and no earned runs in a 2-1 win over Franklin last Tuesday.

Christian Huntzinger, Zion Christian: Huntzinger struck out 14 batters in seven innings pitched, allowing five hits and three earned runs in an 8-5 win last Monday.

Brennan Targgart, Zion Christian: Targgart went 5-for-9 on the week with two home runs, a double and four RBIs as Zion Christian went 1-2.
