Hollyoaks' Carter Shepherd to return in kidnap plot

Carter Shepherd will return in Hollyoaks as part of a kidnapping plot.
The former Hollyoaks High Headteacher was arrested last week when he planned to flee Chester with his daughter Freya and Lucas Hay after plotting against the local Pride festival.
His incarceration will lead to Hollyoaks High conducting new interviews for the Headteacher position, in scenes airing next week.
John Paul McQueen, Sally St. Claire and Nancy Osborne all decide to apply for the job, with Sally explaining to her son John Paul that she hopes he gets the job even though she's desperate to get back to teaching.

Before the interviews take place, John Paul is called to the school along with fellow teacher Beau Ramsey to investigate a break-in – where the word "Repent" has been scrawled on a whiteboard.
John Paul realises that this break-in must be linked to Carter's conversion therapy scheme, leaving him unsettled for his interview for the Headteacher job.
He receives another unwelcome surprise at school when Carter's henchman Gareth turns up covered in blood.
Gareth claims that Carter got bail and attacked him, as part of some kind of revenge plan against everyone who's wronged him.
However, Gareth's warning is revealed to be a ruse as viewers later see him calling Sally to claim that John Paul relapsed and is back in rehab.
In reality, Gareth has tied up John Paul and kidnapped him. Viewers will see terrifying scenes as a bound John Paul is delivered to Carter.

This frightening turn of events follows Carter's associate Declan Hawthorne kidnapping his daughter Kitty Draper as she tried to flee the village.
These scenes will air next week.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
