Hollyoaks airs exit for regular character after tragic death
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which will air on E4 tomorrow.
Hollyoaks has lost three characters in one week, as tonight (May 8) saw the departure of a regular village resident alongside a second tragic death.
After Lizzie Chen-Williams died in the previous episode from the dodgy drugs passed around at Dave and Cindy's wedding, the latest instalment of the soap saw Mason decide to leave Hollyoaks.

The episode started with the family arriving at the house, wracked with grief over Lizzie's death. Mason stated that he overheard Dilly Harcourt talking about doing drugs at the wedding party from one of Lizzie's friends.
But the youngster soon explained that he blamed Dave for Lizzie's death, feeling like she took the drugs to cope with how Dave made her give up her child at 16 years old.
"Mason, I lost my little girl tonight. And she was the best of us. If anyone deserved to be in that body bag, for all you've put my family through, that incel madness, it's you Mason. You!" an enraged Dave replied, as he kicked his son out.
After trying to comfort Dave, Cindy found Mason and learned that he is planning to move away.
"I'm not coming home," he said. "I'm not his punchbag... I need to get out here, to be with my mum. Otherwise, I don't know how I'm gonna get through this."
Cindy asked if he was coming back, but he simply said goodbye and got in a taxi.

Elsewhere in the episode, Hunter McQueen had a delayed reaction to the drugs, and died at home next to his brother Prince, who realised what had happened while trying to admit to his infidelity with Zoe Anderson.
These three departures come ahead of the soap losing a third of its cast and crew as it goes down to three episodes a week from September. Cindy will be one of the characters leaving, as actor Stephanie Waring confirmed that she was affected by the budget cuts.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
