Hitler speech played over train loudspeaker in Austria

An Adolf Hitler speech was played over a loudspeaker on a train in Austria on Sunday, 14 May.

In footage posted by Green Party MP David Stoegmueller, a speech in which the Nazi German leader says “Sieg Heil” is heard over the intercom.

After the Second World War, Austria passed a ban similar to Germany banning the Nazi party, spreading Nazi propaganda, and symbols of Hitler’s Third Reich.

Two people have been charged.

Train operator OBB said the suspects obtained a generic key to gain access the intercom system to play the speeches on a mobile phone.
